Wiry frame with some room to grow into his body; good musculature now, should turn into decently strong, athletic outfielder at ceiling in next couple years … Long battle at-bat early in my April look; contact skills are pretty good and he’ll fight for it; good focus and competitiveness at the plate. Well-balanced with decent pitch recognition and strike zone discipline; relatively advanced there for a freshman … Good hustle and good work ethic in my looks; limited info on this, but all indications point to strong makeup … Really like him as a defensive outfielder; tracks the ball well off the bat and gets a good first step to track; made a very nice play running back to the fence to track down a ball in my April look; good awareness of position on the field while tracking ball in the air. Arm leaves a little something to be desired, though; likely better fit in center or left field than right until/unless arm develops.
