Jeren Kendall, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers

Lean guy; slight build; musculature underneath, but thin with room to bulk into his body … Quiet hitter; stands tall with low set hands; tracks pitches well and fires off late to the ball; quick-twitch look there with above-average bat speed. Some sneaky pop to his pull side; unlikely to ever manifest itself as much of an over-the-fence threat without real size and bulk, but decent leverage and real ability to pull hard line drives foul line to RCF gap and run for days … Timed 3.93 and 3.96 up the line in my May look; great first step and gets into gear quickly; great runner. Very good overall athlete … Seemed a little over-aggressive at the plate at times, but tough to nail that down in a first (relatively brief) impression of Jeren Kendall here; need to see more of the Los Angeles Dodgers prospect in Rancho through 2018.
