About Baseball Census

baseball census about us junior college baseball prospects scouting reports

Baseball Census is an independent subscription-based website that scouts junior college baseball prospects. Our work is meant to be a supplement for four-year college baseball programs and MLB organizations seeking objective, reliable third-party scouting reports, data, and high-definition video to assist their recruiting and scouting efforts of junior college baseball prospects. We are not a recruiting service; players can’t create, edit, or otherwise alter scouting reports on this site, nor do we take money from JuCo prospects or programs to make recruiting videos or promote them in any other way. We are an outside, independent, third-party scouting service that objectively evaluates junior college baseball prospects and shares our observations, video, and analysis with our college and pro clients.

Baseball Census was founded by Bobby DeMuro after the 2016 season. A former NCAA Division I pitcher at Davidson College and later an independent league professional pitcher, Bobby has worked in scouting and sportswriting for the last six seasons, first specializing in minor league baseball news coverage while producing extensive prospect video content and high-level player evaluation before transitioning full time Baseball Census. Currently, Bobby is also working on a book on the behind-the-scenes story of the final year of professional affiliated minor league baseball in Bakersfield, California. In his free time, he learns computer programming languages and spends time with his dog, Dakota, at the beach in Los Angeles.
