Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Baseball Team — Info, Links, Ballpark, Media
The most “Los Angeles” of any affiliated minor league team, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes baseball club and its home ballpark of LoanMart Field remain one of the true destinations of the southern division of the California League. Owned by Hall of Famer George Brett (and formerly owned by TV star Mark Harmon), the Quakes have been around in one form or another since 1966, although it wasn’t until April 1, 1993 that the team moved into the Rancho Cucamonga area after having spent several summers in Ventura and elsewhere across California after leaving their original home of Lodi.
Now, the Quakes are a Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate, and that makes good sense geographically and for a fan base that is generally supportive at LoanMart during summer nights where the temperature can reach triple digits. The Quakes have sent dozens of players to the big leagues, including major recent starts like Julio Urias, Corey Seager, Joc Pederson, and Mike Trout.
