Scouting Report

Sidearm reliever with some funky stuff. Average build, OK physical strength, good athleticism with very good downhill momentum and some explosiveness off the mound. Natural athlete through low arm angle; looks smooth down there, repeats it well. Hell on RHH, has done OK with some funk against LHH in my looks too. Good feel for FB, runs in with sink; not overpowering but funky, draws poor swings, can dominate, tough for hitters to pick up. SL has nice arm-side life, fairly workable second offering that’s improving over time. Flying under the radar at LAVC, chance to be a real dude with further innings and development; great foundation, funky relief look, love the feel and late-inning energy thus far. Buy-low prospect? Funky and shows up in tight games; calm demeanor, moment doesn’t get too big. Mid-level or better middle reliever in future. Will wreak havoc on RHH, likely work multiple days in a row at the next level too. Lacks velo but stuff plays; great presence. Unafraid of anybody, perfect attitude for bullpen work; wants the ball. Funky, deceptive, strike thrower; competitive; D1 possible depending on improvement, D2 and NAIA should love him from the outset, real bullpen potential with bright future ahead if he continues doing what he’s done to this point.
FB — 78-83
SL — 68-72
